joining LAALRA
LAALRA is continually accepting new members. To be eligible for membership, your primary occupation must involve legal recruitment from either
- a law firm
- a law school
- a government agency
There are two levels of membership: Principal Member and Associate Member.
Principal Member ($150) is the person primarily responsible for legal recruitment within her/his respective firm, school, or agency. A Principal Member in good standing shall have the right and be eligible to vote and hold office.
Associate Member ($100) is the person who is employed by a firm, school or agency from which a Primary Member has already been established (a limit of 3 associate members per organization). Associate Members hold no voting rights, except in the absence of the Principal Member.
To apply for membership:
Please fill out the Online Registration Form and send a check to LAALRA treasurer Elizabeth "Liz" Berner at the address listed below.
Annual membership dues are collected in January of each year. If membership is established after February 1, dues are collected on a pro-rated basis for the current year.
Membership termination can occur if you:
(1) are no longer employed by a law firm, law school, or government agency,
(2) fail to pay the annual dues, or
(3) are engaged in conduct prejudicial to the interest of LAALRA.
